Extremely dry hands?

i work at a petstore and my hands are in fish water almost the entire day (eeewwww) and when i get home my nails look horrible and my hands are extremely dry and i know its my job bec when im off from work my hands feel great i use sally hansen 18 hr protective hand creme and it doesnt work does any1 recommend something for my nails and hands thanks alot!
